Mom's Day shopping.  Want to get your Mom something luxurious?  Something unique? Me too!  So I went down and searched our shops to find the best gifts in San Diego.  You're welcome.

Does your Mom like to cook?  Hoooo-boy! I have got the gift for you.  Remember Seaport Oil & Vinegars?  Well they have the *cutest* gift set available.  You can mix and match your flavors so your chef-of-a-mom can try a bunch of different flavors in a variety of ways! 

If you don't want to do the entire gift set you can do two tiny bottles of a yummy new flavor.  Or get her a cool new cork for her olive oil bottle.

Now what about bath products?  I know it is kind of a "go to" for some of you.  It is okay to admit.  And really, it is a fun gift to recieve because it is something you rarely buy yourself!  But let's get serious, Bath & Body Works is getting a little old.

Presenting the Soap Opera is a WONDERFUL alternative to the everyday bath gift.  And did I mention their store smells divine?  Oh sweet smelling soap! How I love thee!

Let's start off with the two soaps I picked out.  The first one is Zum Bar.  It is handmade goat's milk soap and it makes your skin oh so soft.

Second option is the Primal Elements patterned soap bar.  It comes in a wide array of colors and patterns and is fun to put in the guest bathroom soap dish.  Let's be honest- who doesn't like fun guest bathroom soap?!

Last, but most certainly not least, in the bath product department is the old stand by- luxurious bath salts.  What better way to tell your Mom to unwind then telling her to take a bath and soak in heaven?

Up next, for the beautifully accessorized or not so beautifully accessorized (some people need a lil' help)... these beauties from Urban Girl Accessories.  Urban Girl Accessories is always a fan favorite and pretty much always a sure fire gift giving store where woman are concerned.

Up first!  This beautiful canvas tote with monogrammed initial.  They carry a lot of different initials, your Mom's initial is sure to be in there.  Also pictured are a Vera Bradley purse set and Vera Bradley scarf.  Divine.

Or how about you kick start Mom's summer with these adorable Havaianas flip flops, mathcing butter nail polish and sassy necklace?  I know if I was the one receiving this gift, I would not object.  Not for a second.

So now that I have done the leg work, all you have to do is get down here and shop.

How long has it been since you have been to our long-loved Presenting The Soap Opera?  If you cannot even answer that question because it has been so long, I say it is time you come back.

Why?  Because they did a remodel of the store!  And it looks glorious!  And the products are yummy!  And I can't stop using !!!

Those floors!  That lighting!  It is wonderful in there.  I kind of felt bad for that lady I kept following around while I was taking pictures.  It was an accident though.  And she is very pretty so I am sure you all don't mind.  Anywho!  Back to what I was saying.

Then there is the product.... *drool*  It is all beautifully displayed for your viewing pleasure.

Needless to say, it is high time you get down to Presenting The Soap Opera!  Tell 'em Boardwalk Betty sent you.

Confession: I like to take the occassional fashion risk.  I try again and again to play it safe and "classic" but then my imagination gets the better of me and I always go for the bright tights, outrageous scarf or questionable boots.  So it was no surprise when I walked into San Diego Surf Co. and fell in love with this:

THAT, my dear friends, is a Billabong shawl.

The minute I slipped this bad boy on, I knew it was forever.  Well, actually, my first thought was... "Does this look like a shorty-bathrobe?"  My second thought was... "I don't care!  It is glorious!"

Now let me disect this beauty for you.  1) Your eyes are not decieving you- it has fringe.  Am I a cowboy?  Maybe.  2) When worn and you put your arms up it gives the illusion that you have wings.  Score.  3) Yes, that is a paisely print.  What goes better with fringe than paisley?  Nothing, that's what.

I am excited to wear this shawl.  I will ignore the glances of the people who think I am crazy and will high-five the ones who compliment me.  Because let's get serious, it is worth a compliment.
